Kate Alejandrino

Kate started modeling for Admate, the model management arm of FameFactory, at a very young age, when she first appeared in a Johnson & Johnson advertisement at 6 months old. It could be said that the acting bug bit her then as she eventually earned a Theater Scholarship at the Philippine High School for the Arts. Her 4 years at PHSA saw her do numerous plays in both English and Tagalog, oftentimes earning the recognition of 'Best Actress'.

 

Upon graduation from high school, Kate received a Film Scholarship from the College of St. Benilde; but she continued to act--  most notably in the 2013 Cine Filipino film "Bingoleras" where she played the role of Andeng. Kate also joined the search for the next Meg Ambassador on the 2nd season of the reality show "I Am Meg" hosted by Maxine Magalona on the ETC Channel. She placed Top 6 in the competition, and was eventually chosen by show sponsor Lay Bare to be one of their Brand Ambassadors.

 

Kate was also seen acting and singing in a main role in the "The Kitchen Musical“ series entitled "Boston.“ She also starred in the 2014 Cinema One Originals Film Festival entry “Bitukang Manok.”

 

Kate was last seen on the ABS-CBN Primetanghali serye “Oh My G!” as Roma, the main antagonist of the show.  She also appeared in musical theater as Sisa in Gantimpala Theater Foundation’s own take on Noli Me Tagere entitled “Kanser the Musical” directed by Frannie Zamora.
