Jacob Benedicto

An avid singer, Jacob began a career in musical theater at the age of 16, when his family moved back to the Philippines from Indonesia.

 

In 2013, Jacob joined the reality singing competition “The Voice of the Philippines.” Although none of the judges' chairs turned, Jacob dominated social media when his name trended on the top spot in Twitter, with most of the comments questioning why none of the judges turned for him.

 

Last April 27, 2014, Jacob entered the 'Pinoy Big Brother' (PBB) House along with 17 other aspirants for “PBB ALL IN”, which included a mix of Teens, Regulars and Celebrities. On the 3rd elimination night, Jacob was 'evicted' from the house after having spent 5 weeks inside. 

 

Jacob was last seen on TV as Jaymar at the recently concluded  ABS-CBN Primetime Bida Teleserye “Dream Dad.” He recently launched his single  “Pagka’t Ikaw”  composed by noted singer/songwriter Jeffrey Hidalgo under  Star Records.

 

Jacob also recently appeared as Crisostomo Ibarra, the lead character in Gantimapala Theater Foundation’s “Kanser the Musical,” a take on Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere directed by Frannie Zamora.
