Abel Estanislao

A GMA 7 Artist Center contract artist, Abel began his career in 2012 when he was cast as JV, one of the lead characters in "Teen Gen", a spin-off of the 90s sitcom "TGIS". Soon after, he was cast  as Cholo, the younger brother of Rafael Rosell's lead character in "Maghihintay Pa Rin"; and when the series ended, he was immediately cast as Miggy in the daily afternoon series "Villa Quintana.” Abel was launched last January 2015 as one of the members of the acoustic trio ”3Logy” together with fellow Kapuso stars Jeric Gonzales and Jak Roberto. Abel was also seen playing Makoy, the best friend of Ruru Madrid’s lead character in “Let the Love Begin.” Abel is currently part of the newest teleserye entitled “Little Nanay” where he is playing the role of Carlo. He is also set to appear in a historical biopic movie entitled “Ang Hapis at Himagsik ni Hermano Puli” this coming 2016.

 

Abel is an ardent guitar player and was Lead Guitarist of the 6T2nd Band, a jazz band which regularly performs in piano bars around the metro. He has since taken up singing as well to complement his guitar playing.

 

An accomplished athlete, Abel was Captain of his High School Swim Team and is a 'Judoka' who had annually won the National Judo Championship since he started competing at age 7. Upon graduating from high school, Abel was offered a Sports Scholarship in the prestigious University of the Philippines, Diliman, but he had to forego his scholarship after a year to concentrate on his showbiz career.

 

Abel is also the brand ambassador of “The Clinic by Lisa.”
